Monthly Meeting with Guest Speakers from “Lots to Grow”
Please join us for our monthly membership meeting and guest speakers from “Lots to Grow” (formerly, Little Tree Homestead in St. Petersburg ,FL). This is a free event and open to the public. All are welcome.
Our membership meetings are where new gardeners are welcomed to meet our members, join the Apollo Beach Garden Club and initiate a raised bed rental in the Community Forest Garden, while also learning from our guest speakers.
Seasoned gardeners from our area have likely experienced quite a bit of disappointment trying to grow through our summers. New gardeners might think they have a black thumb if they missed the ideal plant date for the pretty plant they just purchased at a big box that keels over 2 weeks later without producing a harvest. Knowing what to grow, when and where are some of the key foundations that all gardeners learn through trial and error. Rather than learn through purchase mistakes and dead plants, come learn with us and allow us to share or vast knowledge and experience with you.
Our speakers this month, Cary and Rachel from Lots to Grow in St. Petersburg, FL (formerly Little Tree Homestead), will be sharing their wisdom on what rare and unique plants will thrive through our most brutal of summers. Lots to Grow will have starter plants available for purchase so you can take home a plants that will work for the summer in your garden.
