About This Event

COCG is incredibly excited to announce the First Annual Community Garden Tour on November 3rd, 2024 which will be the FIRST of its kind in Tampa Bay! This self-guided tour will provide the opportunity to tour over 20 community gardens across three counties while learning about best gardening practices, meeting neighbors, and basking in the serene delight that community gardens bring!

Visit the community garden in your own neighborhood you’ve always been curious about or visit several – it’s up to you! Whether you’re brand new to gardening or already have a green thumb, this event is for YOU! Our passionate gardeners are ready to welcome you to their magical spaces, share their knowledge, and make new friends!

At the conclusion of the tour, join us from 4 to 6:30 pm at the outdoor garden at New World Brewery for live music and $5 happy hour beverages! New World – 810 E Skagway Ave, Tampa, FL 33604. One lucky tour participant will also receive two Tampa Bay Lightning Tickets to the game of your choice!

All proceeds benefit the Coalition of Community Gardens, a non-profit committed to growing healthy people and strong communities throughout Greater Tampa Bay.

Pinellas Oldsmar Community Garden 10 am to 2 pm 423 Lafayette Blvd, Oldsmar, FL 34677 Tours of the
garden, a biodigester cooking demonstration, how to make a porch
compost bin, and plants galore for a small donation towards our garden
operations. The first 25 visitors will depart with a small pumpkin as a token
of our appreciation.

Hillsborough Seminole Heights 10 am to 2 pm 6114 River Terrace, Tampa, FL 33604 Open for tours, with
a worm world station, pollinator garden, compost station, trellaced and
in-ground beds, and a few gardeners on site to answer questions. There will
be shaded seating in the garden to rest and meditate as well.
