Operation Tampa Bay Blitz

We’re excited to announce a special community service project in partnership with The Mission Continues that supports two pillars of our West Tampa community: West Tampa Grows Healthy Community Garden and the MLK Recreation Complex.

🥕 Why West Tampa?

West Tampa is considered a food desert, meaning access to fresh, affordable, and nutritious food is extremely limited. Many families rely on convenience stores and fast food because grocery options are scarce — and that impacts health, opportunity, and quality of life.

Operation Tampa Bay Blitz is more than a one-day project — it’s a community-powered step toward food justice, environmental sustainability, and neighborhood pride. By creating spaces like children’s play areas, walking paths, composting stations, and public art, we’re laying the groundwork for a healthier, more connected West Tampa.

This initiative is part of Operation Tampa Bay Blitz — rolling up our sleeves to give back to these vital spaces that uplift, nourish, and connect our community.

  • A Children’s Discovery Zone

  • A scenic walking pathway

  • A community mural

  • Trash & composting stations to promote sustainability

  • Beautifying the outdoor areas of the MLK Recreation Complex
