Join us during our normally scheduled, open to the public work day at Apollo Beach Community Forest Garden. Event is FREE and open to the public.
We welcome everyone to come request a tour and explore our garden, roll up your sleeves to help volunteer and ask questions from our knowledgeable members.

Seed Harvesting, Curing, Processing and Storing
We will be providing a very special demonstration on how to know when to harvest seeds, how to harvest, how to cure and how to store seeds for future use in your gardens.
We will be focusing on harvesting/storing Dill, Queensland Romaine, Tomato, Blue Butterfly Pea, Cilantro and more.
Each participant will go home with some seeds that they learn how process and package.

Seed Starting 101
You will have to come garden with us to find out and take home some of the fun. Helpers always get something to take home besides wisdom and shared enthusiasm for growing all manner of unique foods that you simply cannot find at Big Box Stores.
We offer RARE, UNIQUE, and CLIMATE specific plants in short supply that will grow well in our area. If you think you can’t grow food during the summer, you simply haven’t tried to grow the right thing, the right way.
Come get unique with us and prosper from it! When we Sow Together, We Grow Together.
Please be sure to bring plenty of water and sunscreen. The heat indexes are difficult for both plants and people.
We will also have a few vegetable and pollinator plants available for sale if you wish to take them home to your gardens. We require exact cash or check only at this time.
