About the Seeds of Faith Community Garden at Bay Life Church

Growing Produce and Creating Community

The Seeds of Faith Community Garden is an on-campus garden purposed for creating a place for learning, fellowship, and providing food for local food pantries. In 2010-11 growing season, the garden was established with seven volunteers, an empty plot of land, one hose, and 100 cinder blocks. God has faithfully grown thousands of pounds of fresh produce for families at ECHO and Hope For Her.

How Can I Get Involved?

The garden is divided into two sections: the individual grower beds, and the donation beds. The individual grower beds are rented out to those who would like to grow their own produce. The donation beds are run by volunteers who grow produce donated to ECHO and Hope For Her.

The best way to serve in the garden is to help at our community garden work days. On the second Saturday of each month, from 8-10am, people of all ages, expertise, and lack thereof, come together and manage the garden. In the past we have built fences, mulched walkways, harvested produce, weeded plots, and more! There’s a job for everyone. There’s no sign up needed, just bring a water bottle and wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty! We’d love to have you join us!
