The Vincentian Faith & Grace Garden welcomes you!

About the Vincentian Faith & Grace Garden

We are Vincentian Faith & Grace Garden, an organically grown permaculture garden that took root in 2019. Our vision is to grow real food and harvest wellness through an organic, nutrient-dense whole food garden, healing the mind, body and spirit. Our mission is to teach, empower and grow together as we share the bounty of God.

We are a faith-based donation centered garden with Saturday harvest being shared with neighbors in need in Temple Terrace.

The garden consists of in ground beds, small containers, terrace gardens, pollinator garden, a robust composting system, rain barrels, greenhouse, a newly installed irrigation system and an ever-growing food forest with over a dozen types of fruit trees on two acres of land on the property of  St Vincent DePaul-Joe Latina Center Food Pantry in Temple Terrace (located directly behind Wells Fargo Bank on 56th Street).

We are looking to expand in every way. We welcome all garden volunteers including those with solid leadership skills to enhance our vision and mission. We are blessed by many, including Graces Garden Center, Temple Terrace and Peirano Family Foundation who continue to support the garden.

We are excited to be a part of the Coalition of Community Gardens and are looking forward to being fully engaged with the organization and our neighbors. We look forward to developing regular events and gatherings.

See you in the garden!

Genesis 1:29 Then God said, “I give you every seed bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit and seed in it. They will be yours for food.”

Meet Verlean — a proud recent graduate of the COCG program and a true force for change in her community! 🌱✨

Verlean plans to launch a vibrant community garden with her “Over 50 & Fabulous” group at Fair Oaks Park, at the East Tampa Recreation Complex. Fair Oaks is in an area recognized as a food desert — where access to fresh, healthy food is limited, especially for low-income residents.

Food deserts like Fair Oaks contribute to serious health challenges such as obesity, diabetes, and heart disease. Tampa City Council has acknowledged this issue and is actively seeking solutions, including turning city- and county-owned land into urban farms and community gardens.

Verlean’s passion and dedication are powerful steps toward transforming food access and improving community health. She’s not just growing vegetables — she’s growing change. 🌿💪🏽
